PRIVACY POLICY
Effective September 10, 2026
This policy explains how Hyperform, the rhythm game available at hyperform.elixr.games and through its Meta Quest app, handles information when you play or contact us.
Who is responsible
Tianrui Zhang, located in the United States and operating Hyperform under the EliXR Games name, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
For privacy questions, data requests, or security reports, email felix@elixr.games.
Information used by the game
- Meta account and leaderboard information. When Meta makes your account available to the installed Quest app, Hyperform uses your app-specific Meta user ID to associate scores with you. It retrieves Horizon usernames, ranks, and scores to display leaderboards. The current app does not request your friends list or profile photos.
- Completed game results. Eligible completed runs in the installed Quest app are submitted automatically to the leaderboard for the song and difficulty. Submissions include the song/difficulty identifier, chart revision, score, hits, misses, maximum combo, completion status, and app-specific user ID. Meta stores leaderboard entries, including the score and result details. Tutorial, practice, incomplete, and development autoplay runs are excluded.
- Movement input. The game uses headset and hand/controller poses provided by the headset and browser to position the view and evaluate gameplay. The production game processes these poses on your device; it does not send raw pose streams, room maps, camera images, or microphone recordings to the leaderboard service.
- Local preferences and progress. Your browser or headset stores settings, calibration, favorites, selected songs and difficulties, and local best scores. The app also caches a small offline fallback and icons. These local records are separate from online leaderboard entries.
- Connection and operational information. Website and API hosting providers process connection information such as IP addresses, request times, requested resources, and browser/device information to deliver and protect the service. The relay records operational error codes and request identifiers; its application logs deliberately omit user IDs, usernames, request bodies, and authentication secrets.
- Messages you send us. If you contact us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include so that we can respond and handle your request.
How we use and share information
We use this information to run Hyperform, remember your preferences, validate game results, maintain leaderboards, respond to support and privacy requests, and protect the service.
Leaderboard usernames, ranks, and scores are visible to other people. Your raw Meta user ID is not included in the leaderboard responses shown to other players. Result details submitted to Meta may be accessible through its leaderboard platform; please treat participation as public score sharing.
We use the following services:
- Meta provides the Quest platform, account identity, and leaderboard storage. Its handling of your Meta account and platform activity is also described in Meta's privacy policy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosts Hyperform's leaderboard relay in the United States. The relay processes Meta IDs, usernames, and game results when reading and updating leaderboards.
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website and its static assets through its global network. Leaderboard API requests go directly to the AWS relay.
We do not sell personal information or use Meta user data for targeted advertising. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or when necessary to address misuse or protect the rights and security of users and the service.
Public authorities can send data requests to felix@elixr.games. Our procedure is to verify the requester and review the legal validity of a request before disclosure, seek clarification or an appropriate challenge if a request is considered unlawful, limit any disclosure to the information legally required, and maintain a restricted record of the request, decision, and response.
Retention and security
Local settings and progress remain on your device until you reset them or clear the site's data. Clearing local data or uninstalling the app does not by itself delete your Meta leaderboard entries.
Online scores remain in Meta's leaderboard storage while needed to provide the leaderboard, unless removed following a verified deletion request or a leaderboard reset. The relay has no separate persistent player database. It keeps a bounded in-memory leaderboard cache: results are reused for up to 10 seconds and removed as the cache is refreshed or the server instance ends. Its operational logs are configured to expire after 30 days.
We keep support correspondence for as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable obligations. Data is transmitted using HTTPS, and server credentials are kept on the backend. No service can guarantee absolute security.
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Those countries may have different data-protection rules from where you live.
Your choices and data requests
To request access, correction, or deletion of your Hyperform information, including online leaderboard entries, email felix@elixr.games with the subject Hyperform privacy request.
Include your Horizon username and enough detail to identify the request. We may ask you to verify ownership before changing or deleting account-linked data. Do not send your password or access tokens.
You can clear local preferences and progress through your browser's site-data controls. The ordinary website does not submit Meta leaderboard scores; online submissions require the installed Quest app to obtain an eligible Meta identity. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to object to or restrict processing, receive a copy of your information, or complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise applicable rights.
Age audience
Hyperform is intended for people aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to Hyperform, contact us so we can investigate and remove it where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our data practices change and revise the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice of material changes.
